Designer Kelly Dent founded Aviary Jewelry in 2007. Influenced by her surroundings growing up in California's beautiful Bay Area, she focuses her line on the graceful shapes of birds, feathers and other interpretations of movement. The line has developed over the last three years to include other natural shapes and motifs, each of which are cast in precious metals that give the designs their bold weight and depth. Crafting each Aviary piece by hand in her studio, Kelly's aim is to create eye-catching adornments that become unique statements on each owner. While the Aviary line is primarily sold in Los Angeles, the line is beginning to branch out into boutiques across the United States and fine retailers around the world. In addition to various mentions in high profile fashion blogs over the last couple years, the line has been seen infiltrating young Hollywood. Aviary Jewelry appears on a number of US television shows, including characters on the hit FOX TV show 90210. And Universal Studios has purchased pieces for placement in several upcoming movies. Kelly launched her men's line, Aviary Man, in 2009 after requests from many of her male friends for customized masculine pieces. With this line, Kelly continues to blend her signature contrasts of delicate, natural images and heavier metal. A contrast that has appealed to her her large rock and roll clientele. Aviary Man can be seen gracing the necks and arms of such high profile American bands as the Silver Sun Pick-Ups. Kelly currently resides and works in Los Angeles and London.
